Strawberry Cobbler Recipe

Strawberry Cobber Recipe
Serves 8
1/2 cup white sugar
•1 tablespoon cornstarch
•1 cup water
•3 cups strawberries
•2 tablespoons butter
•1 cup all-purpose flour
•1 tablespoon white sugar
•1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
•1/2 teaspoon salt
•3 tablespoons butter
•1/2 cup heavy whipping cream


Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and then butter a 2 quart baking dish.
Combine sugar, cornstarch, and water then cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until its thick and hot. Stir in strawberries  and then remove from heat. Pour mixture into the baking dish, and dot with 2 tablespoons butter.
Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt then blend in 3 tablespoons butter. Stir in cream. Mixture should be fairly soft. Spoon on top of berries.
Bake for 20-30 minutes in the preheated oven. Let Strawberry Cobler cool down for 10 mins before serving.
